The day was hot and breezy. The sun shone down hrad, making the ground feel warm and soothing. It was magnificent weather, and Carla was definitely going to use the opportunity to write.
She was holding a pen and notebook, but something about the bees buzzing in the air made her want to jump up and run through the gardens like a kid. Maybe she would.
Carla set down her writing supplies, and just went and sat in the grass, feeling the warmth of the sun beating down on her back and face, making her skin freckle.

Taylor usually came out to the gardens to think and such, write a bit of music too. He was a guitarist and had been for a number of years. Upon entering the gardens, he spotted the shy girl from the other day in the halls and walked up to her, "hey there" he said. He knew that he was the quote on quote 'popular guy', but there was a whole lot more to him than just that label.

'Hi,' Carla said, standing up. She was wearing dark jeans with a purple tie as a belt, and a green v necked sweater over a creme cami.
It was the boy from the halls, the real jockey looking one. Carla felt a rush of sweat flow to her armpits, and smiled cautiously.

He looked around them, putting his hands in hsi pickets shyly. "So you come out here a lot?" he asked her. At first glance in the hallways, it had seemed as though she had been trying to avoid speaking to him or something, but now she seemed to be openly speaking to him, so he guess he had just imagined it or something.

'Er, yeah,' Said Carla, brightening a bit.

Even though he didn't really know her, he could tell that she had brightened up a little bit, it was quite the improvement from the girl who just kept her head down. "Its gorgeous out here, I'm surprised I've never seen you out here before, I come here a lot as well" he told her. "I'm Taylor by the way" he said as he held out his hand towards her, a formal introduction but he was a little old-fashioned when it came to some things

'I'm Carla.' She said, shaking his hand. 'I think I've seen you here before.'

"pleasure to meet you Carla" he said, in a gentelman-like fashion. "Really?" he asked her, "when?" he asked. He was sure he had never seen her before

'Oh, you know-- things. Stories.' Carla blushed, and started running her fingers through the pages of her little black notebook with the gld printing on the cover. It was her absolute favourite.

"Really?" he asked her. He had never met anyone, besides Kris maybe, that was so into writing like Carla seemed to be. "I like writing too, my favourite book is Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad" he told her. It was an amazing book about looking into the human soul and seeing what was truly there, evil and greed. Kurtz, a character had been right when he looked into another's sould and gasped out on his deathbed, 'the horror, the horror...", he loved that book, just loved it. "What kind of stories do you write?" he asked her

"oh come on, you gotta be more specific than that.. what kind of fantasy, what kind of character, the setting, all that.. a story has so many dimensions that makes a good story" he said to her. He had been in AP english all his life, he knew what he was talking about

Carla sucked in breath. 'Well-- I'm writing a series. I started in like, fourth grade-- it's about this guy and his sister. Each book alternates from who's point of view its from. They have like really weird adventures. Their sitting in a car and suddenly... they're not.'
